Whilst many bird watchers own some form of telescope, every birder has a pair of binoculars. Each instrument
has its own specific uses.
A telescope on a tripod is invaluable for studying individual
birds, or their families close up and when they are not on the move.
But it is, of course, bulky and heavy equipment to carry around –
and it takes time to set up and focus.
Binoculars have a similar use, but they are also essential for
following birds in flight or for scanning large feeding or breeding
grounds. The problem has always been how to keep binoculars steady
for any length of time. Now Bino-Arm has the answer by providing the
vital elbow support (as found in most hides) needed to maintain
steady observations from any location, instantly. Even tracking a
bird in flight is possible by making a slight movement of the
elbows, whilst keeping them firmly on the cross bar. |
